Decluttering....First stop "The Shed"
I have my own little shed and it was time for me to clear it out of items stored for a long time that I either have 2 of or just no room in the house.
Our young neighbour called out and said "put them on Facebook and mke a few dollars" having no idea how,Troy came across and took pics ,put them on his Facebook and before it was dark they were almost all sold! Modern technology can be a wonderful thing.
These are what went to new homes..
First to go was the dressing table,Troy bought this himself he paid $200 we had a little more on it but he is such a good neighbour he deserved it.
Thsi wash stand went to a beautiful young couple ,they paid $300.I also gave them my 3 Caters books as they said they are just starting to collect and the books were collecting dust so off they went with the wash stand.I had 2 of these and this poor darling was locked away.
Not sold yet but perhaps someone will love it like we did.
This sold last night it is an unusual little cupboard and we know it is worth more but we were happy with $100
This is it closed.
What did we do with the money...simple it went into my pot!!!! we also had another windfall of $500 unexpected alst week so that went in too,so looks like we will get that second air fare by December.
We still have other things such as a fish tank etc for sale and if they sell well and good if not well there is always another time,I know one ting they are not going back into storage..next stop inside the house to declutter...well good luck lol.it took a lot fo me to part with this lot and I still had misgivings as they left the home.
I know what it is like to part with things that have been with you for a while. We had to do that when we moved from France into a much smaller place. But as time goes on I find I dont miss them.
ReplyDeleteWell done with your sales. Spring cleaning's on the agenda here as well :)
ReplyDeleteHow exciting!
ReplyDeleteyou will feel so good when you declutter Carole.xx
ReplyDeleteSome nice looking pieces there, Carole. I particularly like the washstand with the tiled back.
ReplyDeleteIt is best that they go to good homes rather than being stored for years. You have some beautiful pieces.
ReplyDeleteHi Carole,
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely pieces. It is wonderful they went to good homes & you are $$$ closer to the purchase of those plane tickets.
